'BCS Digital Expo 2011' is an exhibition based on digital technology and lifestyle. It is a colorful and business friendly presentation, a celebration of learning ICT Innovation with exclusive events to flourishing 'Digital Bangladesh' speedy.

The expo is arrange with the theme of `Digital Bangladesh for new generation' at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka during March 09-13, 2011.

Bangladesh Computer Samity with the support from the Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology and ICT Business Promotion Council under the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of Bangladesh is organizing the exclusive event.

`Digital Bangladesh' is our national program, a dream of building Bangladesh hunger, poverty, corruption-free and prosperous country using ICT. Bangladesh Computer Samity explores the program and stimulates the government to declare. After declaration BCS arranged an expo named 'BCS Digital Expo 2009' to made a guideline and create mass awareness to fulfill it. 'BCS Digital Expo 2011' is the sequel (3rd) of this event.

In this expo, there are 66 numbers of exhibitors and sponsors display most updated applications & services, techniques and technologies that changing the every stair of people's life to new dimension at 73 stalls and 29 pavilions. At the same time, a lot of surprising programmes like audio-visual show, PowerPoint presentation, play, cultural programs etc placed there to influence the people using up-coming technologies.

The expo will be opened for all from 10 am to 8 pm daily except the inaugural day on March 09, on which date it will be opened at 5 pm. The entry fee is BDT 20, however, school students can enter free of charge just showing their ID cards.

For glorification the expo, BCS arrange an Idea contest for university student about `To define a way to build Digital Bangladesh'. Top three projects of the Idea contest will be present at the expo. An age-group and item wise art competition will be arranged in this event. School students are cordially invited to participate there.

There are four nos. of seminars will be organize at the expo based on how to build Digital Bangladesh speedy. The decision makers, industry stakeholders & academicians will take part in those seminars.

A number of prizes including Computer, Laptop, Notebook etc. in every contest of the event like idea contest and art competition for the participator. At the same time, specialized ICT product show, quiz contest and many other programs will be held at the expo. Excluding that, BCS arrange raffle drown for everyday based on entry ticket and 10 nos. of ICT instrument including Computer, laptop and notebook will be reward to viewers.

There have an opportunity to gather experience using (free) Wi-Fi internet, internet based game etc for onlookers. The school Students has an opportunity to play videogame. Excluding that, everyone can enjoy Cricket World-Cap 2011 in big screen. There have also a Food-Court for refreshment.

Wi-Fi internet brand `Qubee' sponsoring the 'BCS Digital Expo 2011' as platinum sponsor. Popular ICT brand ASUS, Bangladesh Digital Directories and Samsung sponsoring the event as gold sponsor, while IKARUS InfoTech Limited, KONICA MINOLTA and Microsoft are silver sponsor. Satellite news channel ATN Bangla, private radio station `radio TODAY' and daily newspaper `Samakal' are media partner of the expo.

An Organizing Committee headed by Mr. Muzibur Rahman Sawpon, Secretary General of BCS as the Convener in order to organize BCS Digital Expo 2011 in a befitting manner has been formed which is supported by 8 Sub-committees comprised of Members of the Executive Committee and the General Body of the Samity. BCS Secretariat has been deployed full-time to co-ordinate all expo related activities.
